Additionally, there are numerous resources in North Louisiana to help both existing and new employers engage, hire, train and re-train employees. These programs and services range from federal to state to regional to local resources and are administered by public, private and non-profit organizations.

Workforce programs available in North Louisiana fall in two main categories: workforce marketing & recruitment and workforce training & development.   North Louisiana Economic Partnership offers a workforce marketing program called North Louisiana Employment Opportunities Network or NEON to assist employers with recruiting the right talent to sustain their growth in North Louisiana. This unique program helps employers and their recruiters market North Louisiana to potential employees.
 
Other workforce programs offer training and development to ensure the labor force has the right skills for key industries. These programs include LED's FastStart™, the nation's No.1 workforce recruitment, screen and training program; Louisiana Workforce Commission, the state's lead workforce agency; regional Workforce Investment Boards, and higher education and vocational technical college partners. North Louisiana has 12 colleges and universities eager to work with industry to assist with building an employee pipeline.
