    NLEP Seeks Events & Marketing Coordinator Candidates

    The North Louisiana Economic Partnership (NLEP) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization focused on developing fourteen parishes in northern Louisiana as competitive and profitable business locations for capital investment and job creation by both existing employers and prospective companies. NLEP has two office locations - Shreveport and Monroe.
     
    This part-time position will work closely with events, marketing, and special projects. The role will require 20 hours per week in the Shreveport office and will report to the Director of Marketing & Communications. NLEP marketing and events are interdepartmental, and this position will often work with all staff members as needs dictate.

    Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
      • Coordinate, assist, and support company events and meetings, some of which will occur outside of regular business hours
      • Assist with communications and marketing tactics such as content creation and mass email communications
      • Research associated with special projects such as gathering samples for promotional orders
      • Organize and gather items for marketing gifts and thank you packages
      • General program support as needed

    Candidates must meet these standard qualifications:
      • Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented and deadline-driven
      • Interpersonal skills that support a team environment
      • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint, and Excel applications
      • Ability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week
      • Reliable transportation
      • Some college, preferably in communications, marketing, public relations, hospitality, or a related field
      • Ability to adapt and remain flexible
      • Excellent listening, written, verbal, and typing skills
     
    Ideal candidates possess these additional skills and attributes:
      • Understanding of all Microsoft Office applications such as Microsoft OneDrive and Teams
      • Experience with Constant Contact
      • Experience performing Internet-based research
      • Understanding of and/or willingness to learn Adobe Creative Cloud applications such as InDesign, Illustrator, and      Photoshop 



    Business casual attire is expected unless otherwise notified. Physical activity will be required during events and the ability to lift, push, or pull items such as chairs or tables is necessary.
