NLEP Simplifies Site Selection

North Louisiana Economic Partnership (NLEP) is a "first stop shop" for existing businesses and prospective companies looking to expand or locate in 14 parishes in North Louisiana.  NLEP facilitates information gathering with our extensive research capabilities and resources. We can customize request-for-information packets for prospects and offer turn-key customized services to facilitate your site selection search. 

With our experience and network of contacts, NLEP can help with almost any issue: advice and advocacy on incentives, building a team of partners to support your growth plans, or providing logistical support and coordination for site visits.

NLEP Provides Turn-key Customized Services

Ranked in the top ten for the number of Certified Economic Developers on staff (CEcDs), NLEP’s talented team of economic development and marketing professionals has won four Excellence in Economic Development Awards in the last two years from the International Economic Development Council (IEDC), the largest membership organization for economic developers. NLEP has also been named Economic Development Partner of the Year by the Louisiana Association of Business and Industry (LABI). NLEP has been reaccredited by the International Economic Development Council as a Accredited Economic Development Organization (AEDO.) This designation means that NLEP is performing at the highest level and is considered an expert in economic development.  

NLEP services fall into seven main categories: business development, business retention and expansion, business intelligence/research, marketing/communications, workforce development, investor relations and advocacy. Each of these programs support NLEP three goals of business development, workforce development and regional advocacy to support economic development. Our services include but are limited to those listed below, since each project is customized to meet the needs of the company.

Site Development

  • Assist private and public property owners with applying for the Louisiana Certified Sites program
  • Facilitate the collection of site details, such as maps, environmental reports, etc. in order to enhance the marketability of properties in North Louisiana

Cultivate Relationships with Influencers

  • Build working relationships with key influencers such site selectors, c-level executives in target sectors, real estate brokers, developers and Louisiana Economic Development project managers
  • Attend conventions and trade shows to network with key decision-makers and influencers
  • Market to site selectors through inbound and outbound familiarization tours, news releases, email blasts, and social media
